Extremely useful!

A very well thought and implemented service that turns your Kindle into a note-keeping device where you can save anything from large articles to short notes onto the reader. Without a doubt the best and easiest way of transferring any text from a...

I'm already thinking about the best way to organize bookmarklet management... I'd also add a bookmarklet which will automatically add a tag to each doc sent via this bookmarklet.

Sharing documents

Now and then I have a document that I'd like to share with a friend (who made me aware of SENDtoREADER, by the way). Would it be possible to add a "forward" button to send the document to a different Kindle?

I can't always see the images/photos?

This happens when I use the SendtoReader button in my toolbar and when I copy and paste into Compose. The most recent compose problem one is my "July 25: Learn How to Create Linked Crochet Stitches". The first photo shows up but none of the...

I've found out the reason why the images were not delivered. And will fix the problem in the nearest future.

Multipage compose just copies first page on some URLs:

For example http://www.ocala.com/article/20111128/ZNYT04/111283008?p=3&tc=pg Just keeps copying the first page even though you can clearly see the "p=" goes to pages 2, 3, and 4
Response from the site administrator
SENDtoREADER, 09.12.2011
I've just started making my system able to join multipage docs into a single one, so currently the only workaround is to find a "print" or "single page" link on the page you'd like to send, and send the doc which is under one of those links. In most cases it contains the entire article.

Add chapter support (detect headers or so)

The title says it. When grabbing a webpage, you could maybe detect headers(e.g. and/or ) and use these for chapters/TOC

Content partially missing

I have noticed that sometimes parts of the content is missing, e. g. the quoted text inside the triangles on http://www.heise.de/tp/druck/mb/artikel/35/35958/1.html.
Response from the site administrator
SENDtoREADER, 09.12.2011
I guess I know the reason why those paragraphs disapper, it's because they are wrapped in a div. Will try to find a solution by monday.

Periodicals setup is confusing - limited instruct

I'm getting ready to cancel my periodicals subscription unless I can get some help. How about a FAQ, or some way to get support?
Response from the site administrator
SENDtoREADER, 12.08.2011
I'm always ready to help, and my email address is published on the site. Usually I reply to questions within 2 hours, but you should know, I'm in the GMT+3 timezone, and don't read emails at night time.

Not displaying Date at beggining of the article?

Subheadings of the articles aren´t sent to Kindle.

When sending news articles, the subheading is not included, rather is totaly ignored by the app. That´s a major issue, because a subheading is very useful on remembering the article´s core content.

What are the "additional features" of the FF addon

Addon vs bookmarklet, what are the benefits of addon? You mention it has additional features. btw a): will there be Safari or Opera plugin? btw b): I don't get the bookmarklet to run in opera, to which bar do I drag it?
Response from the site administrator
SENDtoREADER, 09.12.2011
in Opera right-click on the bookmarklet and select "Create bookmark" in the drop-down menu. It'll be added to your bookmarks panel (Ctrl-B to show it up)
As for additional features, you can send a link to your Kindle by right-clicking on it and choosing "Send to Kindle" option in the popup menu.
Safari addon... I hope to release it this winter.

periodical (testversion) not deletable

HI, I downloaded the test-periodical from engadget to my kindle touch. I can view it etc, but i cannot delete it and cannot move it to my archived items - I actually can't even open a menu for choices for this. No reaction if I long-click on it...
Response from the site administrator
SENDtoREADER, 11.12.2011
there is an issue with periodicals on K touch - it does not recognize them as real periodicals. This forum thread explains that problem just fine: http://amzn.to/sjjN22
But I'm not sure the same problem is the reason why you can't selete the document from your Kindle. Try to reset it, maybe that'll help. You are the first person with such problem.
One more solution from other users: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1841576&postcount=10

Mass actions required

Need a way to perform mass action - for example, press to a tag, then set checkboxes to some items, thenresend them, or delete or "recommend" them.

Auto-expiration should be possible

There should be a way to set auto-expiration of articles. I'd prefer to auto-delete all I send to my reader after 2-3 weeks. Maybe, will be useful to set some tags for disable auto-expiration.

nominate date for auto delete of perioicals?

Manual deletion of old periodicals is time consuming, if able to set an auto delete function after say a couple of weeks would save storage space . love this program, very useful Thanks

Import opml file and create subscriptions from it

Parse an opml XML file and create the subscriptions from it automatically. This will be very useful for people with existing RSS feeds set up, in Google Reader for example.

be able to send webpages as nice, Kindle-formatted files FROM my Kindle (while reading them on the web browser) TO my Kindle (to read like a book).

When I'm reading a page on my Kindle's web browser, I'd like to be able to send that page to my Kindle in "book" format so it's easier to read. If there were some little directing script I could type in just in front of the web address that would...

SENDtoREADER, 13.06.2012
The post mentioned below (thanks Stephen) describes the workaround which already works pretty well, the only problem with it is the long url you have to type. Domain name s2r.me, which I bought recently, will make the process of sending from Kindle to Kindle even easier.

UPD: from now on all you need to send a page you just need to add s2r.me/ in front of the URL you are reading in the browser, so the result address should look like this: s2r.me/http://somesite.com/anarticle.html
