collection and send to kindle once a day functionality

sendtoreader will collect articles, but instead of sending them directly to kindle, it will keep them and it will send them once a day to kindle, in a kindle-friendly format like instapaper.

It could be better to keep content tagged or in folders not the plain array of documents and provide SENDtoREADER button for each folder \ tag

Android app to send from smartphone browser

I probably use my Android smartphone browser almost as much as the one on my computer. It would be lovely to be able to send webpages to my Kindle from my smartphone.

know the date

At the end of the sent page, where you give the original URL of the page and identify sendtoreader as the sender, it would be lovely if you included the date/time of the sending.

Badly executed

It's that the tool is useful, else I wouldn't persist in trying to get it to work. Login with facebook fails, need to retry a couple of times, sending frequently fails with error, I downloaded the FF extension, try to enter username/password,...

Has the "Author" box been disabled?

When sending through "Compose", no matter what you write in "Author", now sendtoreader.com appears when the file is downloaded. Is it somethign being fixed? Or you intend to leave it this way? thanks for the application though! Great work!

The workaround is described at http://sendtoreader.com/blog/announcements/sending-selection-kindle-single-click/. In short, select the text you'd like to send and click the bookmarklet. One more thing, I've noticed that it's faster and easier to select text from bottom to top, at least in FF and Chrome.

Web does not work for me.

I am now deleting this web because I find it absolutely unworkable. I like to thank every one who tried to help me, but unfortunately it has all been to no avail. Anyway I can still use my Kindle for downloading books, which is no problem.

There is a new option in the "add/edit" Periodical form: "Keep images". Uncheck it and the periodical will not contain any image any more.

Right-click on the toolbar or on one of the existing buttons on it, choose "Customize..." and drag-n-drop the "SENDtoREADER" button to your toolbar. And don't forget to enter your username/password in the addon settings dialog (main menu -> tools -> addons -> Sendtoreader)

Soft hyphen is converted to fixed hyphen

I have noticed that a soft hyphen (­) is replaced by a fixed hyphen. Of course this is no big issue but I just wanted to mention it.

I love SENDtoReader.....I've found it very useful when surfing the net to send pages and content to my KIndle...however every time i close my Browser (Firefox 4.0.1), the bookmark disappears from my toolbar, and i have to log in and grab it...

thanks for pointing me to the problem Pete, that sentence was in the PP just because I'm using 3rd-party analytics (Google Analytics) to analyze site traffic. So, I've removed that sentence completely and added a new item in the "What information do we collect" section.

S2R sends my Periodicals all at once at the same time every day

It has been ignoring the times I set for it to send my periodicals...instead they all come at once each day (around 7p.m.). I have a vested interest in receiving my news RSS feeds in the morning and my blogs in the evening!

Fixed. Unfortunately Sendtoreader can't process correctly anything and everything, so sometweaking is required from time to time. But this time I've managed to force the system to process the page correctly. Hopefully the updated engine will process correctly any other page from the same site as well.

Yes, of course! First of all, disable instant delivery in Sendtoreader settings (on the page /user/settings/), install bookmarklet and send a page to (in your case) to sendtoreader. To download the result - .mobi file login to your account on sendtoreader.com and click "Download" link in the dropdown menu (the button with arrow on the right of each document in the "Sent recently" list.
